This is something that I'm continually working on.
Believing that the majority of people that I come into contact with have good intentions. Headed out for the day is less of a test when I remind myself to believe the BEST. Being well practiced in giving people the benefit of the doubt IS where it's at my friends.
A Healthy Habit to Have-
IF we can get into this peaceful purposeful habit of truly believing the very best about others and that the majority of people are good intentioned we will free up a lot of precious energy.
Even if someone is intentionally up to no good.
By giving them the benefit of the doubt, you have removed yourself from letting it impact your hood. ;)
One Day atta time-
Taking daiiiiiillly inventory .... putting myself in check...
Cuz Lord knows If I didn't run maintenance I'd be a big fat wreck.
I have to daily remind myself that I have no idea what someone may be going through and to always GIVE the benefit of the doubt. ;)
I challenge you to go through out your week and catch yourself every time you aren't applying this "benefit of the doubt" mentality. When I became more aware of the fact that I could actually choose to give people the beau-ti-fulllll benefit of the doubt I started to live in a more peaceful rhythm. try it and seeee.... :)
Now lets not get crazy, I do still eventually go "there" and get off track a little. But the GOOD NEWS IS.... I don't stay there.
I have came to the conclusion that giving people the benefit of the doubt actually makes me the beneficiary of something truly invaluable. Tweetworthy... ;)
